Privacy
Safe Streets Toronto Centre is an independent community advocacy campaign. This page explains what information we collect and how it is used.
Petition signatures
When you sign the petition we collect your name, email address, postal code, your stated connection to the area, an optional comment, and basic traffic information (referring page and campaign tags) so we can understand where support is coming from.
This information is used to demonstrate local support when approaching City officials, Toronto Police Service, and local organizations, and to send campaign updates if you opted in. Names, email addresses, and contact information are never displayed publicly. If supporter names are ever shown publicly in the future, that would require separate explicit permission.
Incident reports
Incident reports are private campaign research. Individual reports, exact locations, and submitter identities are never published. Reports may be summarized in aggregate when presented to officials. Please do not submit information that names or identifies individuals.
Storage and requests
Data is stored securely and access is limited to campaign organizers. You can ask us to remove your signature or report at any time by contacting the campaign.
